Another country from the middle of Americas and their coffee beans.
The journey continues, for sure I already know how to differentiate weak supermarket beans from the rest, but the higher quality the lower the difference. Maybe after all of those weak one we can finally enjoy them more?

Coffee Beans
Time to go back to some better quality. The time has come for beans from Costa Rica. This ones were on a sweeter side with orange, honey and mirabelle taste. Of course 100% Arabica, marked as perfect for filter brew methods.

Finally those weren’t so dark like all of those low quality ones. This ones came with bright brow color and a bit of orange scent. After griding they were a bit lumpy, though they were easy to grind, when in comparison to the previous ones.

Color wasn’t as bright as I expected it to be. However, even though it bubbled nicely the water wasn’t going through them easily, gathering slightly in the filter, when I did the pouring part like I did for the previous ones, which was quite interesting.

When it came to taste, to tell the truth I enjoyed the coffee, but I was missing the sweetness that was advertised. However, to check that fact I also brew it for a friend that visited me some time ago. He have much more “experience”, when it come to drinking coffee, and he actually admitted that he was able to pick those orange and honey tastes. I will believe him for now.
Coffee Rating
- Flavor – 8 – wasn’t any better than the last one, but I guess it’s still an achievement when it comes in taste
- Bitterness – 9 – wouldn’t really say that was much bitterness to it and I must admit I liked it in that configuration
- Acidity – 8 – maybe because it was supposed to be sweet you couldn’t feel it, but maybe because it was a bit acidity I also couldn’t feel all that sweetness?
- Sweetness – 5 – would normally give it a lower score, however since it looks like my taste buds are a bit deffective and some people can say the difference we stand in the middle.
- Initial rating – 8 – it’s a great coffee and I would gladly drink it again
- After time rating – 8- nothing really changed in my opinion, maybe because I was also drinking it with other beans at a time, those were always coming great.
Conclusion
If you want to challenge you sweet taste buds you should try it, apparently you can feel it here and I wouldn’t mind another cup.
