The journey around the world continues for the best beans yet, or at least close to the Jamaican ones
The journey came a bit to a halt since I had many of the same beans and also switched to matcha for a while, but I am ready to try next ones.

Coffee Beans
Another bag I got from a hypermarket instead of specialized coffee shop. This time while drinking that I was also was making myself one from selected Costa Rica roasted beans hoping for a different taste. Just like the last time unfortunately on the bag there is no indication about the sweetness/sourness or any other indication what to expect, apart from roast level and just plain information 100% Arabica.

The beans look perfectly normal and fine to me and the smell was really strong. The color after griding was pretty much the same as the last ones, I wouldn’t expect anything else to tell the truth.

When it comes to the brewing method for now I am done with trying new methods. For now because of the time I will be stick to the simple method, a little amount of water at start for coffee to bloom, then after 30-40 seconds start pouring rest of the water in two phases of around 1 minute. To my surprise this coffee turned out rather quite clear and bright with a shade of red color.

When it comes to the taste it was a bit better in my opinion than the last one from Honduras, though the Costa Rican one I also did in the mean time was above leaving me, a bit sad every time I drank it.
Coffee Rating
- Flavor – 6 – wasn’t any better than the last one, but I guess it’s still an achievement when it comes in taste
- Bitterness – 6 – was a bit bitter didn’t mind it.
- Acidity – 5 – since it was a medium roast I expected it to be as a bit worse, but it was in ok range for me.
- Sweetness – 1 – nothing advertised and nothing I could feel
- Initial rating – 5 – it’s an ok coffee to make without thinking too much about the method
- After time rating – 5- nothing really changed in my opinion, it could’ve lost some bitterness with the passage of time, but didn’t really affected my opinion
Conclusion
If it’s on sale it wouldn’t hurt as a coffee in hurry or to go, where you don’t have time for whole process, since it tastes the same no matter what I did. I personally probably won’t visit it again.
