Challenge 1 page 1 day – result 1 month

It felt like a long time, and at times I struggled—especially when I left writing the pages until the end of the day, when I had zero energy or ideas about what should happen next. I came very close to giving up on two pr three occasions this month. There was also a technical problem, during which I couldn’t access the editing menu for the pages on the site until I found workaround. In the end I managed to push through and didn’t miss a single day yet.

58 pages in total—a great start and a promising sign for the future. However we are still in prologue, which I though I would leave before the first month…
In the meantime, I also managed to finish one of the children’s books I was working on. Now I just need to refine all of the illustration and maybe we could publish it.

This month: +32 points.

Current balance: +32 points.

Visual style update

However, due to the challenges I faced mentioned above—and to avoid staying up late just to write something for the page—I’m introducing a new rule that will supplement the first and fourth ones.

  • It will now be possible to publish “overdue” pages without losing points in the challenge, as long as they are completed no later than the following day.It will now be possible to publish “overdue” pages without losing points in the challenge, as long as they are completed no later than the following day.

This option shouldn’t be overused as an excuse to skip work, but rather as a buffer for those moments when inspiration simply doesn’t strike. Moreover it will also help me concentrate on other projects.

Still ongoing on https://dreambook.oldwisebear.com/.
