I swapped the default version, and archived the old one, since I was able to finalize all features I had in mind at the moment.
- Expanded user cockpit to include toggles for dynamic backgrounds, typewriting and music as well as extending the admin page to configure those per page. I will be updating the whole book in the future to use them everywhere, however for now only new pages use those.
- Small quality of life updates for me when adding or editing pages like more image placement options or smart copy of configuration from the previous ones.
I still have a plan for next features, however to do them I need two things. First more pages, secondly publish other books I am kind of working off and on. This means that most likely in June there won’t be any new updates to the technical side.
When it comes to the statistics for May:

Visual style update
There was no break this month, however there were days I had to push myself to add any pages. This sometimes leads to lower quality, however with the possibility of adding the pages dynamically and editing them I will come back at some point to level them up.
With the application change, the legend should also be adjusted to make sure the yellow color is not overused.
- Black – out of the scope of the challange
- Green – page done successfully (+1)
- Yellow – holiday (+0 if pages are done up to 3 days)
- Red – failed to write the page (-3)

Rules
- Only on special occasions – holidays, illness etc. it is allowed to prepare pages in advance/after the day.
- Pages has to be published somewhere public everyday to count, no date stamps are needed.
- Using AI is forbidden apart from grammar/syntax reviews and corrections.
- This challenge has point system to keep it more interesting. Every day that it is done is +1 point, every missed day is -3 points. Will be marked as completed only after reaching 365 points and after a year has passed.
- It will now be possible to publish “overdue” pages without losing points in the challenge, as long as they are completed no later than 3 days following the end of “holiday” period.
- There is no set amount of words or page dimension, however it has to be in a viable to print book format.
